Confirmed Speakers

Nan Rosemary Ke is a senior research scientist at Google Deepmind. Nan Rosemary completed her PhD at Mila with Professors Yoshua Bengio and Chris Pal. Her research lies at the intersection of causal learning and deep learning with the goal of exploiting synergies between causal learning and deep learning, obtaining the inferential strength of causal mechanisms with the scalability and representational capabilities of deep learning.
Sriraam Natarajan is a Professor at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science and Director of the Center for Machine Learning The University of Texas at Dallas. He is a Fellow of AAAI and part of the executive council. His research interests lie in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and their application to healthcare problems. Specifically, he is interested in the areas of Relational Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Graphical Models, and Planning.
Eleonora Giunchiglia is a lecturer at I-X and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Imperial College London. She completed her PhD at the University of Oxford and worked as a Post-Doc at TU Wien. Her research goal is to build deep learning-based systems that are safe and trustworthy. That is, to develop deep learning models that are compliant by design with a set of formally defined requirements, ensuring the desired behaviour of the model.
